Audio alarm do not work

Dear all,
I need to trigger audio alarms which in turn plays an aac file uploaded to the MCS system.

  • new audio alarm agent created
  • new notification set created
  • on the audio mapping of the display output the aac file was selected
  • on the relevant sources profile the specific notification set was selected
I simulated a source failure and the alarm did not sound.
The same is tru for the default audio on MCS.
I understand it is not possible to have a source audio playing on the mosaic and the audio alarm triggered at the same time so I made sure there was no audio selected on the output.
Can you please help me out?
    Kind regards
    Mauro

Hi Mauro,

To troubleshoot the issue of audio alarms not sounding on the MCS system, here are some key points to consider:

  1. Audio File Format: Ensure that the audio file uploaded is in the correct format. The file should be in basic AAC format, either mono or stereo at 48kHz, and not in SBR/PS v1/v2 formats
    (TAG User Community) .
  2. Notification Set Configuration: Verify that the notification set is correctly configured. If a non-default notification set is used, it may not trigger the alarm unless specifically configured to do so.
  3. Alarm Duration and Severity: Check the alarm duration settings in the configuration. The alarm duration should not be less than 5 seconds, and the severity levels should be enabled as required, starting with “Critical” .
  4. Audio Alarm Agent Configuration: Ensure that the audio alarm agent is correctly set up. It is essential to configure either an audio alarm agent or a channel audio output for a given mosaic output, but not both.
  5. Simulating Source Failure: When simulating a source failure, ensure that the conditions for triggering the alarm are met and that the system is set to respond to such events.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, further investigation into the system logs and configuration settings may be necessary to identify any underlying problems.
