,

Hi Community!

It’s that time of the quarter! We are excited to announce our Quarterly Release for the TAG Realtime Media Platform. This update brings significant upgrades to both MCM (version 6.9.0) and MCS (version 1.7.1), focusing on deeper troubleshooting insights, expanded storage options, and more flexible deployment workflows.

Key Highlights

Lens: Now Generally Available (GA) Lens has moved out of beta with new drill-down capabilities for source and group statuses and advanced filtering. Use the Force Directed Graph interface to visualize topologies, identify network bottlenecks, and locate the root cause of issues across complex hierarchies. (Not sure what Lens is? Here is a quick overview video)

Kantar Watermarking Support We now provide full support for Kantar Media watermark detection, enabling ACR and audience measurement validation. Three new thresholds have been added to alert operators if watermarking is missing or if Content IDs do not match expectations.

Expanded Deployment and Boot Options To increase reliability and flexibility, MCM now supports PXE boot and direct installation on server Hard Drives (supporting RAID capabilities). This provides an alternative to traditional dongle-based booting and allows for more advanced network deployment methods.

Cloud Storage and Security

  • GCP Storage: Users can now designate Google Cloud Platform storage for HLS mosaic outputs and event captures.

  • Azure SAML: MCS now supports Azure as a SAML provider for improved identity management.

Platform Management & Admin

  • Centralized Logging: Administrators can now perform tcpdumps, test USB dongle status, and collect logs directly from the MCM UI.

  • License Visibility: MCS now displays MCM license expiration dates and connectivity status for proactive management.
