Hi,
We are exploring the usage of blinking notification configurations:
We were wondering if it’s possible to have a notification start blinking, and then after a defined time period, it settles to being a static color?

Hi Donny, thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately you can not audomatically switch between blinking and static color from the GUI.
However, you can achieve this using our API, or from a TSL server, assuming it allows for this functionality.
Nir
Can you explain how we can achieve this via API?
Hi Donny
After rethinking about it, It will be extremely complex to achieve this through API, and i’m not sure that you want to get into this.
Can you explain the need here? you want the alarm to blink for a while in order to attract the operator’s attention to it?
Are you aware of other features that can help with this like audio alarm that plays when an error is detected, or the penalty box that will push to a dedicated layout only sources that have a problem?
If the temporary blinking is critical for you i can raise a feature request.
Nir
Hi Nir,
Yes, we are deploying audio alerting in conjuction with this idea. But exactly right. We want to initially attract the operator’s attention to it but if it stays for a long time, we no longer want to pull attention to it so we want the coloring to change to static and no longer blink.
I would not say that this is critical but it would be a cool feature
